The CW show Supernatural
wins 2 People' Choice Awards for "Favorite Network drama" and "Favorite
sci-fi/fantasy show". Congratulations to the cast and crew of
Supernatural! Fans of the show were upset because the show was
considered to be snubbed, despite their wins:
The People's Choice Awards did not invite the two main actors (Jensen
Ackles and Jared Padalecki) or any of the other cast or crew to the
event and their wins were not announced on the live broadcast of the
People's Choice Awards. This of course is extremely upsetting
considering that in order to win an award, fans must cast their votes,
so obviously the show has a large fan base that would have liked to see
some Supernatural representation. Ackles and Padalecki were however,
asked to prerecord an acceptance speech to be shown at the event. You
can watch that here.
James Cameron announced that although he originally claimed "Avatar 2" would be in production by now and have a release date for 2014, the release date might very well be pushed back until 2016. Full story here. Fans wonder what the big deal is, since the world is going to end in 2012.
The eagerly anticipated live action Star Wars TV show is one step closer to existence: Producer Rick McCallum announced the show will have the title "Star Wars: Underworld" and will take place in the years after episode III. No news yet if there will be any vampires involved. Click here to watch the interview with Rick McCallum.
A never before seen 12 minute Hobbit movie was created in 1966 and was finally released this week, much to the delight of Tolkien fans. Click here to watch the video.
